Nabila Jabbour Fares Collection (1936-2025)
Nabila Jabbour Fares (1936–2025) was a Lebanese leader and social advocate. A Social Work graduate from the Beirut College for Women (BA 1956) (now the Lebanese American University), she became Lebanon’s first female mayor in 1985, serving El Rabiyeh area with distinction. She co-founded the Civil Association for the Safeguard of the Child (ACSAUVEL) and championed initiatives in child welfare, social development, and Lebanese craftsmanship. The collection offers valuable insights exemplifying women’s leadership and dedication to public service.
