Evelyne Bustros

Evelyne Tueni Bustros (1878–1971) was a Lebanese writer, cultural advocate, and social reformer educated in Beirut, Egypt, and Paris. A leading figure in Lebanon’s literary and women’s movements, she founded key cultural and civic organizations, promoted traditional crafts, and championed heritage preservation and women’s rights. Her collection documents her life during Lebanon’s Mandate and independence eras, as well as onto the socio-political position of women in Lebanese society during this period.
