Erica Cruikshank Dodd Collection, 20th C
Erica Cruikshank Dodd (1928-) is a Canadian art historian and former professor at the American University of Beirut, renowned for her scholarship on Byzantine silver stamps and Islamic iconography. A graduate of Wellesley College and the Courtauld Institute of Art, and a fellow in Islamic art at Harvard, she taught at AUB in the 1970s and 1980s and continued her academic work in Canada and Pakistan. The collection documents her research, teaching, and fieldwork. It offers rich insight into intellectual and cultural exchanges in the Middle East during the 20th century, making it an invaluable resource for scholars of art history and regional studies.
