May Ziadeh (1886-1941) a Lebanese–Palestinian poet and writer. Started her literary writings at school in Lebanon but did not publish anything until she went to Cairo in 1907. In 1912, May founded her literary salon “Tuesday Seminar” that was attended by famous Arab literary figures. The Archives holds 4 original letters for May Ziadeh, magazine articles, a pamphlet and some addresses. May was frequently invited to the American University of Beirut where she delivered four speeches. The first lecture she delivered at AUB was in December 1922 while her last visit was on December 20, 1938 to speak about the “The Strength and Weakness in our spiritual Life”.
مي زيادة (1886-1941)، شاعرة وكاتبة لبنانية-فلسطينية. بدأت كتاباتها الأدبية في المدرسة في لبنان ولكنها لم تنشر نتاجها حتى ذهبت إلى القاهرة في عام 1907. في عام 1912 أسست مي في القاهرة صالونها الأدبي "ندوة الثلاثاء" الذي ارتاده شخصيات أدبية مشهورة. يحتوي ملف زيادة على أربع رسائل أصلية لمي، بضع مقالات مجلات، كتيب الخ. تمت دعوة مي زيادة بشكل متكرر إلى الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت حيث ألقت أربع محاضرات. كانت أول محاضرة لها في الجامعة في ديسمبر 1922، بينما كانت زيارتها الأخيرة في 20 ديسمبر 1938 للحديث عن "القوة والضعف في حياتنا الروحية".
