Shakib Arslan, a Lebanese politician, diplomat, poet, and prolific writer, (1869-1946). A creative writer, who published some 20 books and 2,000 articles as well as two collections of poetry. He was known as “Amir al-Bayān” or “Prince of Eloquence” due to his influential writings. He rallied for Arab independence from the French and British Mandates. His collection of correspondence and photos spans the years 1936 to 1948; including many letters exchanged between Arslan and his friend and publisher, Mohammad Ali al-Tahir (editor of ālshura, 1924).
شكيب أرسلان (1869-1946)، سياسي ودبلوماسي لبناني، وشاعر وكاتب غزير الإنتاج. نشر نحو 20 كتابًا و2000 مقال بالإضافة إلى مجموعتين شعريتين. عُرف باسم "أمير البيان" بسبب كتاباته المؤثرة. ناضل من أجل استقلال العرب عن الانتدابين الفرنسي والبريطاني. تمتد مجموعته من المراسلات والصور بين عامي 1936 و1948، وتشمل العديد من الرسائل المتبادلة بين أرسلان وصديقه الناشر محمد علي الطاهر مؤسس جريدة الشورى 1924.
