Harris Graham (1862-1922) a physician and missionary born in Canada and educated at the Universities of Toronto and Michigan; Graham first served as a missionary doctor at Aintab before joining the College in Beirut in 1889. His passion for medicine took him to Berlin and Vienna, where his research advanced public health understanding across the region. Dr. Harris Graham taught medicine from 1890 until his death in 1922. A pioneering researcher known for discovering that dengue fever is transmitted by the Culex mosquito.

Dr. Harris Graham passed away in Beirut on February 27, 1922, leaving behind a legacy of medical excellence and humanitarian service. He was also among the first people in Beirut to own a car alongside the Ottoman Wali and Judge Faddoul Rubaiz.
