Collaborative Programs with AUB

Many programs and agreement connected AUB with South America. Among them were the AUB Farm Teaching Program (1956–1970) where Students from numerous Latin America countries, such as Bolivia, Costa Rica, and Mexico—received agricultural training at AREC (AUB, April 10, 1970).

Early International Cooperation (1981): AUB reached out to cultural officers from several governments, including Mexico, to explore potential collaborations.

The First International Symposium on Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis (SSPE) was held by the Faculty of Medicine early this month at the Medical Center's PGME Auditorium under the auspices of the Lebanese National Council for Scientific Research. The four-day symposium, organized jointly with the National Institute of Health, Washington, and the SSP E Registry of Lebanon was opened by His Excellency the Prime Minister, Mr. Shafik Wazzan, in the presence of President Malcolm H. Kerr, Dean Raja N. Khuri, Dr. Abdul Rahman Labban, representing the National Council for Scientific Research attracting representatives from around the world, including Mexico.

University Transformation Project (2021): AUB, together with other international institutions, launched a project to share key strategies for successful university transformation with universities in Mexico, Haiti, and other countries.
