AUB Student Magazines 1919-1934

During these peaceful years the main Middle East cities witnessed a boom, modern houses and public buildings were erected. Large new harbors were bringing tourists. The Baghdad railroad was nearing completion. New airport in Beirut was attracting commercial planes. Asphalt roads were being completed to connect main cities. Copper and Oil Companies have arrived to the area to exploit copper mines in Cyprus and produce petroleum in Bahrain. Tourism was flourishing in the area specially in Lebanon and Egypt. Students were more active on campus. Many societies were formed in the Preparatory School as well as the College. Students published more newsletters that echoed their voice, activities and interests.
