    A weekly “scientific, literary, comic” magazine, edited by Selim El Khazen, and written by the mubtadi’oun, (Freshman) students. The first issue appeared on January 12, 1899, and the last of the 22 issues the library holds is dated July 6th, 1899. All issues are handwritten, and the format is folio. Besides its short and light articles, the magazine published sequenced novels such as “Shab al Asr” featured here.
    The motto shown on the top of the cover page expresses students’ pride of belonging to SPC:
    للاله الكريم نبسط كفا تستمد الرضا على الكلية
    فهي تبغي انتهاج كل قويم وتحري الافادة الكلية

    A bi-monthly “literary, scientific, comic” magazine, founded by Wadih and Elias Haddad. The first issue is undated but the second issue appeared on January 12th, 1902 The AUB Library owns 4 issues (1902). The issue displayed here features a sequenced novel “Amore” translated from French by Wadih Haddad.
