A monthly “commercial, literary” magazine edited by Selim Haddad, B.C. 1907, Moses Saal, B.C. 1907, Halim Kuzma, and Nejib Yakub and illustrated by Dikran Ilvanian. This type-written magazine covers issues and questions related to commerce and business; it also features articles describing campus life, and offering students’ views on morals, student life, etc. This is one of the earliest student publications in our collection which was fully aware of the importance of graphics, design and illustrations for the look of the paper, and had an artist as well as a cartoonist among its regular staff.
In addition to its chief editor, Rufa'il Duweik , B.C. 1913, the magazine’s other editors included: A. Faris, Zaki Haykal B.C. 1913 , Daud Sununu B.C. 1913. The library owns four issues from the year 1911. The self-stated mission of the paper is to “bring before the readers as many of the student activities as possible; in addition to that to devote a great deal of each number to a series of commercial articles ..”. It discusses economics and politics in the Middle East, and also covers international events.
