    A “scientific, literal, reformative” review to be issued at “intervals as short as possible”. The second issue of the first volume was issued in February 6th, 1906. The founder was Amin Butrus Hilal, and the editor Wadih el Bustani. The review is bilingual (Arabic and English). It is noteworthy to mention that for the first time in the history of the AUB student magazines, the option of a yearly subscription is offered, hinting at a sense of continuity, stability and commitment to the project that the editors and participating students must have felt. The library holds only two issues (Feb. and Mar. 1906), which are interestingly of different formats.

    A bi-monthly handwritten Arabic magazine, self-described as “critical scientific literary comic paper”. Edited by Philip Birbary B.A. 1910. and Taufik Kurban B.A. 1910 (for the 2nd year of the magazine), and by Aboud Nasrallah B.A. 1912; and Tawfik Kandalaft B.A. 1912, M.D. 1916 (for the third year of the magazine). It discusses literary articles, and features poetry by prominent students, e.g. Ali Salam, B.A. 1910. It also covers YMCA student elections and athletic news, features some jokes, commercial advertisements, as well as descriptions of student life employment prospects and travels.

    This bi-weeky “scientific, comic” handwritten publication was started by Musa Zakharia in 1899. The library holds 12 issues, which feature poems, scientific articles, but also puzzles and jokes.

    A “scientific, literary, comic” bi-weekly magazine, characterized by its short articles and anecdotes. The first issue appeared on December 11th, 1899 by the Seniors of the Preparatory School. The editor was Fuad Salem, and all issues were hand written. The library holds 11 issues (1899-1990).

    A weekly “scientific, literary, comic” magazine, edited by Selim El Khazen, and written by the mubtadi’oun, (Freshman) students. The first issue appeared on January 12, 1899, and the last of the 22 issues the library holds is dated July 6th, 1899. All issues are handwritten, and the format is folio. Besides its short and light articles, the magazine published sequenced novels such as “Shab al Asr” featured here.
    The motto shown on the top of the cover page expresses students’ pride of belonging to SPC:
    للاله الكريم نبسط كفا تستمد الرضا على الكلية
    فهي تبغي انتهاج كل قويم وتحري الافادة الكلية

    A “scientific, literary, comic” bi-weekly magazine, Issued by the moudrikoun, (Junior) students, and edited by Asaad Medri. The library holds 4 issues, (1899-1990).
    The second issue shown here is dated Monday December 18th, 1899, and features short news pieces, along with solutions to mathematical problems.
    The motto shown on the top of the first page of each issue reads as follows:
    نصراء الآداب لا زلتم شعـ لةَ فضلٍ تضيء منها البرية
    فإليكم نزف خير عروس قد دعوناها "زهرة الكلية"

    A bi-weekly, “scientific, literary and critical” magazine, issued by the students of “Al Moudrikoun” , (Juniors) and edited by Edward Afandi Shami. The Library holds 12 handwritten issues; issue 2 of volume 1, the earliest issue in the Library’s possession, is dated November 29, 1900). Most articles deal with students’ life around campus.
